Q-Tip’s 2008 album The Renaissance surprised me for a few reasons. The first reason is, it actually came out. The second reason is, although several years have passed since we’ve heard anything from the nasal voiced MC the music on the album seems like he never left. One of the stand out tracks on the album is “MANWOMANBOOGIE” featuring Amanda Diva. I’m thrilled they made a video for this one.

American hip hop artist and rapper Young Jeezy will be featured in Belvedere Vodka’s upcoming “Circulate” ad campaign. The campaign will also feature photography done by Terry Richardson who has previously worked with Belvedere in the past. MOTION STOPPING OBAMA January 18, 2009
On Tuesday Barack Obama will be sworn in as the first African American president of the United States. Obviously this historic moment has not just affected the average person but the concept of hope in his speeches has been felt by the artists as well. In an inauguration tribute Daft Punk collabs with Adam Freeland and Team GOLD for a stop motion piece entitled “Aer Obama”. The video feature bearbricks and a mini Obama doll dancing to the sound of Daft Punk. Check it out below.
GOOD records artist Kid Cudi is already hard at work attempting to make 2009 a huge year for himself. Cudi is hard at work shooting a video for a video for the original video for “Day N Nite” and he is also giving several interviews letting his fans know what the deal is. This latest one was done by Eighty81 and is aptly titled “Hustler Watch”. Check out the video below.
